Privacy Policy

Effective August 9, 2026

Inferno Fire Protection Ltd. collects only the information reasonably needed to respond, deliver service, keep reliable records and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

1. Scope and accountability

This policy applies to personal information handled through our website, email, telephone, service visits, reports, invoices and customer records. Inferno Fire Protection Ltd. is responsible for personal information under its control. Privacy questions or access requests may be sent to our Privacy Contact through the website contact form.

2. Information we may collect

  • name, job title, organization and contact information;
  • service addresses, preferred dates and access instructions;
  • equipment, occupancy and service details you provide;
  • inspection findings, reports, site or equipment photos, signatures and service history;
  • quotes, invoices, payment status and transaction records;
  • emails, requests, complaints, consent and unsubscribe records;
  • website-request references, request type, status and links to related customer, site, quote, appointment or service records; and
  • basic website technical information such as device, browser, a security-protection value derived from IP address and browser information, and security logs when our hosting or security systems create them.

Please do not submit passwords, full payment-card details, health records or unrelated sensitive information through a general form or email. If a payment processor is introduced, card details will be handled by that processor rather than intentionally stored by Inferno Fire Protection unless clearly stated.

3. Why we use information

We may use information to:

  • respond to questions and prepare quotes;
  • match a request to an existing business or contact, or create a prospective customer and site record when no reasonable match is found;
  • schedule, confirm and deliver inspections, assessments, repairs and sales;
  • send service emails, customized renewal reminders, reports and invoices;
  • document inspected equipment, findings, deficiencies and customer authorization;
  • process payments and manage accounts;
  • improve customer service, website performance, safety and fraud prevention;
  • meet tax, recordkeeping, insurance, regulatory and other legal duties; and
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

We will identify any materially new purpose and obtain consent where the law requires it.

4. Consent and choices

Consent may be express or implied depending on the information, purpose and relationship. You may withdraw consent for optional uses by contacting us, subject to reasonable notice and legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing a requested service or maintaining a customer account where the information is necessary.

5. Service messages and promotional email

When you request service, we may send communications needed to handle that request and relationship, including confirmation, scheduling, safety, inspection, renewal, report, invoice and account messages. Promotional electronic messages will be sent only where permitted by applicable law and will identify Inferno Fire Protection and provide an unsubscribe method. We will act on an unsubscribe request within the period required by law, while still sending service or legal notices that are necessary for an active account or requested transaction.

6. When we disclose information

We may share only what is reasonably necessary with:

  • hosting, secure request-processing, email, Firebase/portal storage, scheduling, payment and other service providers working for us;
  • manufacturers, subcontractors or technical providers involved in an authorized job;
  • accountants, insurers, lawyers and other professional advisers;
  • an authority having jurisdiction, regulator, court or law-enforcement body when authorized, required by law or necessary to address a serious safety issue; and
  • a successor in a proposed business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.

Service providers may use the information only for the contracted purpose and must protect it appropriately. We do not rent or sell customer lists.

7. Processing outside Manitoba

Some technology providers may store or process information in another province or country. Information in another jurisdiction may be available to courts, law-enforcement or national-security authorities under that jurisdiction’s laws. We select providers and safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

8. Retention and disposal

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for service, warranty, safety, customer history, tax, insurance, limitation-period and other legal purposes. Retention periods vary by record type. When records are no longer required, we securely delete, destroy or anonymize them, subject to technical backup cycles and legal holds.

9. Safeguards

We use physical, administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information, including access controls, account protection, limited staff access, server-side credentials, duplicate-submission protection, request-rate controls, secure service providers and reasonable disposal practices. No internet or email system is completely secure, so please use the appropriate channel and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

10. Access, correction and complaints

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access or correction. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit access where permitted or required by law, explaining the reason where appropriate. Contact our Privacy Contact first so we can investigate and respond. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about a concern within its jurisdiction.

11. Cookies and website analytics

The website and its hosting platform may use cookies or similar technical storage needed for security, accessibility and basic operation. If we add optional analytics or advertising technologies, we will provide notice and choice where applicable. Browser settings can control some cookies, but blocking essential storage may affect website features.

12. Children

Our services are directed to businesses, property operators and adults. The website is not intended to collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information without appropriate consent.

13. Policy changes

We may update this policy when our practices, services or legal duties change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be highlighted or communicated when appropriate.
